Makena the elephant/loxodon woman and the cyborg Atlas quarrel, while the mysterious prisoner Clive Jenson lays low -Hidden under the durasteel floorboards of the Starships smuggling hold. Aboard Atlas's dragon and in pursuit of the prisoner transfer vessel the three spacers find they aren't the only ones after the ship...
